How To Use WellSaid Labs

Getting Started (3 minutes)

  1. Go to wellsaid.io and click Get Started in the header. You'll need a work email to create an account.
  2. After signing in, you land in the Studio. Type or paste your script into the text box in the center.
  3. Pick a voice from the left sidebar. WellSaid has 120+ options recorded by real voice actors. Click any name to hear a preview.
  4. Hit Create and wait 10-30 seconds. Your audio file appears in the player at the bottom.
  5. Download as MP3 or WAV. You own full commercial rights to every file you generate.

Pro Tips

  • Use pronunciation hints for tricky words. If the voice stumbles on a brand name or acronym, click the word and add a phonetic spelling in the pop-up. WellSaid remembers it for next time.
  • Adjust pacing with punctuation. Add commas for short pauses, periods for longer ones. Breaking long sentences into shorter chunks makes the narration sound more natural.
  • Create a Style for your brand. Under Studio > Styles, save your preferred voice, pacing, and tone as a preset. When you start a new project, apply the Style and every voiceover matches your brand sound.
  • Batch-generate scripts. Upload a CSV with multiple scripts (one per row) and WellSaid creates all the audio files at once. Huge time saver for training modules or product videos.

What It's NOT Good For

  • Casual personal projects. WellSaid is built for businesses. Pricing starts at hundreds per month, so if you just need a voiceover for a YouTube video or school project, free tools like ElevenLabs or Play.ht make more sense.
  • Real-time conversation or chatbots. WellSaid generates pre-scripted audio files. It's not designed for live voice responses or interactive AI characters.
