Go to sembly.ai and create a free account. You can connect it to Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex.
Invite Sembly to your next meeting by adding it as a participant (it shows up like a person joining the call). Or upload a recording after the fact if you forgot to add it live.
Sembly records, transcribes, and generates notes automatically. When the meeting ends, you'll get a summary with key points, action items, and decisions - usually within a few minutes.
Open the summary and review what Sembly pulled out. You can edit anything that's off or add context it missed.
Share the notes with your team via link, export to PDF, or send them to your project management tool (it integrates with Slack, Notion, Trello, and others).
What Sembly Captures
Action items with owners. Sembly flags tasks mentioned in the meeting and assigns them to whoever said "I'll handle that" or was named directly.
Decisions made. If someone said "Let's go with Option B" or "We're pushing the launch to next week," Sembly logs it as a decision.
Key topics discussed. The summary breaks the meeting into sections based on what was talked about, so you can skim instead of re-reading the full transcript.
Questions asked. If someone raised a concern or asked a question that didn't get answered, Sembly lists it under "Open questions."
Pro Tips
Use Sembly's AI chat after the meeting. You can ask it things like "What did Sarah say about the budget?" or "Summarize the discussion about hiring." It pulls answers from the transcript instead of making you search manually.
Create templates for recurring meetings. If you have weekly standups or client calls, set up a custom template so Sembly knows what format you want - agenda items, blockers, next steps, etc.
Filter by meeting type. Sembly lets you tag meetings (sales call, internal sync, brainstorm) and search by those tags later. Way easier than digging through a pile of notes.
What It's NOT Good For
Meetings with bad audio. If people are talking over each other or the connection is choppy, Sembly will struggle with accuracy. Clean audio = better transcripts.
Replacing your own note-taking in high-stakes meetings. Sembly catches most things, but it's not perfect. If it's a critical client call or legal meeting, take your own notes as backup.
